How can I write a story about guys and girls on the beach?
I want to write a story with about 30 scenes. How can I write something interesting about a group of guys and girls hanging out on the beach without it getting too static and boring? How can I brainstorm material about what they say and do? Hi, thanks to those who have answered so far. To clarify, it's not a romance story. I was thinking of something more like characters who are sick b4stards like in Kids or Bully.

- it sounds boring already....not another romance novel. :P
- brainstorm the characters and how each feel about each other and what they are to each other ( like brother sister , friend, bf/gf) and then think of how u will start it then think a a problem that will happen sumtime in the middle of the book and build up the scenes leading toward this problem then think of how u might go about solving the situation and in the end of the book u should have suspense and leave ppl hanging after the very last sentence and wanting to read the next one ( if there were one, ) eg. problems . ppl getting in fights, sum1 cheatin on the other person , sumone dying , sumone running away , a big fight with sum ppl, sumone goes missing .. etc.
- think about what you do on the beach. And then think of possiblities (drowning, tidal wave, sadistic murderer ect.) just think of situations, even far-out ones. then you can cull out the bad ideas answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090822123344AAWkhLb
- It could be something like this: I sat on a saltwater coated log, waiting for the sun to set. I wiggled my toes in the warm sand. Everyone was running along the beach laughing and having a great time. I was enjoying myself. Even though I have beautiful qualities about myself, I've never found someone I would consider dating. I took a deep breath of the salty air and sighed. I glanced over towards the shore and saw Ben's limp body being pushed back and forth by the waves. I pushed off the log and started sprinting towards him. I don't know if this helps but it's a start :)
