Brazil Beach Girl

Is it illegal for girls to tan topless at the beach?

When I lived in California my girlfriend would always tan topless at the beach. We ended up going to Florida to visit family and before leaving we stopped at the beach, and while we were there she was tanning topless, and she was asked to put her top back on. Is it different in different states, or different beaches? Or is it just not allowed at all?

  1. i wish it wasnt
  2. yeah, its indecent exposure worst law ever
  3. Where I live it is. I thought in California it was also.
  4. Each state is a member of the Union. That is, the "United States" is a union of many (50), different, sovereign, republics. In that way, each state is its own country. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that each member state will have a "republican" form of government. Thus, each state has its own constitution, its own governor, its own legislature, and makes its own laws. That is why the laws are different from one state to the next.
  5. different states i believe. In Ontario women are allowed to walk all over the place topless if they want. They determined it was against the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (its like the Bill of Rights) to allow men to do that and not women. I've always wondered personally, if a girl under 18 walks around topless and someone takes a picture, is that child pornography??
  6. Sheba - Black's beach (in San Diego) is generally nude. http://gocalifornia.about.com/cs/clothingoptional/a/nudebeachfedst.htm
  7. depends where you live - I live in Canada and where i live its legal. Ive done it before. I try to not do it where too many kids are around tho, to be respectfull to ppl who dont agree with it but mostly no one seems to notice expect for the odd snickering preteen boy
  8. Unless the beach is openly topless or nude, it is called 'indecent exposure' and it is illegal in most places.
  9. Technically, it's sexual discrimination. But really, it's polite to wear a top around. Some people might not want to see or want their children to see bare breasts. It's kinda like big fat hairy men wearing a banana-hammock. Legal, but if people are giving you looks, cover it up.
  10. Unless it is designated as clothiing (or tops optional), I wouldn't do it. In Europe, it may be ok (topless) but generally not in the US.
