I am interested in some au pairs from Brazil, Philippines or another latin country. I will have them watch 2 girls for about 30 hours a week and some household chairs (kids laundry, dishes and basic stuff they can do while watching the girls). I saw some stuff on the site and it said 600 a week and i think that seems really high as i could pay less for a local person who wasnt receiving room/board. I was an au pair in Spain about 10 years ago and got 60 euros a week. Anyone have an au pair who can chime in on this? I am not talking about a "nanny" that is different a professional position. An au pair is more a part of a cultural exchange. It is good because it will be enriching to both the au pair and my children. To the jerk who said to raise my own kids - i do. So, please go be a waste of time on someone else's page. Life is difficult enough without people like yo trying to spread crappy, unfounded hateful judgmental garbage around the planet.
